Durante il periodo di festeggiamenti nell’ambito della festa del comune, il Comune di Pirano ha ospitato i rappresentanti di alcuni comuni italiani gemellati. Sono stati nostri ospiti il Sindaco del Comune di Porano, il signor Marco Conticelli, il Vicesindaco del Comune di Aquileia, il signor Roberto De Cubellis, nonché i rappresentanti dell’AVIS della città gemellata di Castel Goffredo.
Il Sindaco del Comune di Pirano, Andrej Korenika, ha colto quest’occasione speciale per ringraziare gli ospiti per aver accettato il suo invito a visitare Pirano proprio durante la festa del comune ribadendo di essere molto felice di poter riprendere i contatti dopo la lunga pausa dovuta alla pandemia.
Nel suo discorso di benvenuto ha sottolineato: “Ho il privilegio di avere avuto la fiducia dei miei concittadini e di poter fare qualcosa nei prossimi anni per il comune nel quale sono cresciuto e che amo tanto.”
I rappresentanti dei comuni gemellati hanno trascorso giorni ricchi di momenti indimenticabili e di svariate esperienze nonché hanno avuto la possibilità di conoscere la ricchezza culturale del nostro Comune.
La prima serata della loro permanenza era dedicata alla magica celebrazione della festa del comune, dove ci siamo riuniti nello spirito della comunità e della solidarietà per poi festeggiare momenti significativi e risultati importanti conseguiti nel piranese. Sabato 14 ottobre, i rappresentanti dei comuni gemellati si sono uniti a noi alla cerimonia commemorativa in Piazza Brigate d’oltremare per rendere omaggio alla memoria del passato e degli eroi sloveni. È stato un momento commovente e carico di emozioni che ci ha uniti nel rispetto di coloro che hanno dato la loro vita per la libertà e la pace.
Hanno proseguito la giornata con la visita della nostra pittoresca Pirano dove hanno esplorato le strette viuzze, i monumenti storici e hanno conosciuto la ricca storia di questa cittadina peschereccia affacciata sull’Adriatico. Sono stati inoltre ospiti di Casa Tartini dove hanno approfondito le loro conoscenze sulla vita e sul patrimonio di questo grande compositore.
Hanno concluso la loro visita domenica con il ricevimento ufficiale presso il palazzo municipale dove si è parlato, tra l’altro, del funzionamento dell’amministrazione locale e del futuro sviluppo del piranese.
I gemellaggi tra i comuni non rappresentano soltanto una formalità: si tratta, tuttavia, di una vera e propria amicizia che ambiamo a sviluppare ulteriormente. È nostro grande desiderio continuare a scambiare esperienze e favorire relazioni sociali. Desideriamo pertanto ringraziare tutti coloro che, negli ultimi anni, si sono presi cura per garantire che il nostro Comune abbia stretto numerosi e forti legami nel campo della cooperazione internazionale.

Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively.
