Dalla programmazione (sospesa) dei nostri appuntamenti di marzo, oggi era prevista la presentazione e proiezione del video “Diego de Castro. Tra pagine di Storia sul confine orientale – 1945-54”. Si tratta del lavoro curato dalla quinta classe serale, indirizzo tecnico turistico dell’Istituto “Piero Martinetti” di Caluso (Torino) che ha vinto il concorso “10 febbraio” per l’anno scolastico 2019/20, sull’argomento “Arte, Scienze, Cultura, Sport: personaggi illustri del mondo giuliano-dalmata”, istituito dal Ministero dell’Istruzione. L’appuntamento prevedeva l’introduzione da parte della professoressa Silvia de Castro e di Kristjan Knez che per l’attuale situazione sanitaria è stato rimandato a data da destinarsi.
Cogliamo l’occasione per ricordare con alcune immagini, lo studioso, diplomatico e illustre piranese Diego de Castro che la sua città natale gli ha dedicato un volume e un convegno internazionale da parte di Kristjan Knez e Ondina Lusa e altri sedici autori descrivendo la vita, gli studi, l’uomo e soprattutto il rapporto con le nostre istituzioni, la scuola e la Comunità degli Italiani.
Lo storico Kristjan Knez descrive il lascito del prof. de Castro:
” Aiutare la componente italiana della sua terra divenne perciò una missione, una ragione di vita. La donazione della sua ricca e preziosa biblioteca personale, giunta a Pirano dopo la sua dipartita, è la testimonianza tangibile della stima e della considerazione che Diego de Castro ha avuto nei confronti della collettività italiana della sua città. Tale raccolta libraria, che rappresenta indubbiamente il più ricco ed importante lascito giunto a Pirano nel corso della storia, è attualmente in fase di elaborazione e catalogazione. Con l’apertura di tale biblioteca, Casa Tartini diverrà un ambiente di studio di particolare importanza. In una lettera inviata in occasione del ventesimo anniversario del periodico “Lasa Pur Dir” rammenta che il fuoco intellettuale e culturale è ancora esistente a Pirano. Con questa nostra modesta iniziativa vogliamo ricordare questo Amico e la sua importante opera, auspichiamo di esserci riusciti almeno in parte”.

V napovedniku naših marčevskih (odpovedanih) dogodkov je bila za danes predvidena predstavitev in projekcija videa “Diego de Castro. Skozi strani zgodovine vzhodne meje – 1945-1954.” Gre za delo petega razreda večerne šole, tehnično turistična smer, inštituta “Piero Martinetti” iz kraja Caluso (Torino), ki je v šolskem letu 2019/20 zmagal na natečaju “10 febbraio”. Tema natečaja, ki ga je pripravilo ministrstvo za šolstvo, je bila “Umetnost, znanost, kultura, šport: svetovno znane osebnosti julijsko-dalmatinske regije”.
Dogodek, na katerem bi uvodoma spregovorila profesorica Silvia de Castro in Kristjan Knez, je bil zaradi trenutnih zdravstvenih razmer prestavljen na kasnejši čas.
Z objavo nekaterih slik se ob tej priložnosti spominjamo učenjaka, diplomata, znanega Pirančana Diega di Castra, kateremu je njegovo mesto posvetilo knjigo in mednarodni simpozij, nastalih pod vodstvom Kristjana Kneza in Ondine Lusa ob sodelovanju šestnajstih drugih avtorjev, ki so pisali o življenju, študijah, o človeku in predvsem o odnosu do naših ustanov, šole in italijanske skupnosti.
Zgodovinar Kristjan Knez je o zapuščini prof. de Castra zapisal:
“Pomoč italijanskemu delu prebivalstva njegove dežele je zato postala poslanstvo, razlog za življenje. Odločitev, da svojo bogato in dragoceno osebno knjižnico po smrti podari Piranu, priča o tem,kako je Diego de Castro spoštoval in cenil italijansko skupnost svojega mesta. Knjižna zbirka, ki nedvomno predstavlja najbogatejšo in najpomembnejšo zapuščino, ki je je bil Piran deležen skozi zgodovino, je trenutno v fazi urejanja in katalogizacije. Z njenim odprtjem bo Tartinijeva hiša postala študijski prostor posebnega pomena. V pismu ob 20-letnici revije “Lasa Pur Dir” izpostavi, da je v Piranu še vedno prisoten intelektualni in kulturni potencial. Z našo skromno pobudo smo želeli obuditi spomin na našega prijatelja in njegovo izjemno delo, upamo, da nam je vsaj deloma uspelo.”

Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website.
